Boss Monster*
Play against THE BOSS in this awesome Commander variant!
Each round begins with a Boss Monster in play, the Boss Monster has 25 life.
For game rules purposes, treat the Boss Monster as its own player.
The object of the game is to reduce the Boss Monster’s life total to zero.
Players can only attack the Boss Monster and block for the Boss Monster.
The Boss Monster goes last in the turn cycle. On its “turn”, roll a die:
• Roll of 1 : “The Boss Monster is sleeping…” : The Boss Monster gains 5 life.
• Roll of 2 : “The Boss Monster is hungry…” : Each Player Discards a card at random.
• Roll of 3 : “The Boss Monster is angry…” : The Boss Monster deals 3 damage to each Player and 1 damage to each Planeswalker.
• Roll of 4 : “The Boss Monster has invaded your thoughts…” : Each Player mills 3.
• Roll of 5 : “The Boss Monster is…territorial…” : Each Player sacrifices a creature with the lowest toughness.
• Roll of 6 : “The Boss Monster is rampaging!” : Resolve each effect in order as though you rolled a 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5.
Emperor
“Each team sits together on one side of the table, with team members deciding the order in which they're seated. The emperor is the player seated in the middle of the team. The remaining players on the team are "generals" whose job is to protect their emperor while attempting to take down the opposing emperor.”

Lightning Round*
Play a HYPER FAST game of commander in this crazy Commander variant! At the beginning of each of your turns you draw back up to 7 cards and during your turn you can play up to 2 lands!
Two-Headed Giant
Two-Headed Giant is a fun multiplayer format where two-player teams battle against one another. Each team takes actions as a team rather than individually. There are some rules for Two-Headed Giant that differ from other multiplayer formats:
Each team has a shared life total that starts at 60 life.
If a team has 20 poison counters, they lose the game.
If any 1 commander does 21 points of combat damage to a team, that team loses the game.
A team may not use the same commander twice.
Each team takes their turn together, meaning they draw as a team, attack as a team, block as a team, and go through all phases of the turn as a team.
The team that goes first skips their first draw step.
Teams do NOT share any resources other than life–meaning players can’t share cards in hand or mana. The short way of remembering this is any reference to “you” on cards still means each individual player.
Each player can block any creatures that are attacking them, their teammate, or any planeswalker their team controls.
Teams may share information and strategize together.
The first mulligan is to seven cards, then each mulligan afterward results in one fewer card (six, five, four etc.).
A teams loses when their life total is 0 or less, when they accumulate 20 or more poison counters, or when either team member is unable to draw a card from their deck. Damage and loss of life happens to individual players, and the effects are applied to the team’s shared life total. The same is true of gaining life. For example, if one player gains life, the team’s life total goes up, but only one player’s “whenever you gain life” effect triggers.
Effects that read “each opponent” or “each player” affect each team member separately. For example, when Rabid Bloodsucker enters the battlefield, each player would lose 2 life—meaning each team loses 4 total life.

Health & Safety
Your health and safety is our top priority and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic requires we implement enhanced safety procedures to keep players, fans and staff as safe as possible.
At CommandFest Philadelphia, all participants will be required to show proof of vaccination or a recent negative test and wear a mask in all indoor spaces.
All policies are subject to change, implementation, and interpretation at the full discretion of Card Titan and Card Titan management.
Vaccination Requirements
Card Titan requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a recent negative test for entry. All participants are required to show proof of completion of full vaccination with a COVID-19 vaccine authorized for emergency use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or World Health Organization (WHO) or a negative PCR/NAAT or antigen test result taken within 72 hours of the start of the show for admission.
Vaccination Guidelines
“Fully vaccinated” means that the day of your entry to CommandFest Philadelphia must be at least 14 days after completion of your primary series of an FDA or WHO approved or authorized COVID-19 vaccine, such as:
Second dose of a two dose COVID-19 vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna), or
Single dose of a single dose COVID-19 vaccine (Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine)
Acceptable methods of proof include:
The CDC or WHO COVID-19 vaccination record card received when you were vaccinated
A photocopy of the vaccine card (front and back)
A photo of the vaccine card (front and back) on a phone or any other electronic device
In accordance with CDC guidelines, booster shots are not required to be considered fully vaccinated, however, please note that the CDC recommends that people remain up to date with their vaccines, which includes additional doses for individuals who are immunocompromised or booster doses at regular time points.
Negative Test
“Negative PCR/NAAT or antigen test result” means that within 72 hours prior to the start of the show you must have a negative PCR/NAAT or antigen test result.
There are two types of viral tests that can be used: nucleic acid amplification tests (NAATs) and antigen tests. Test results must be provided in the form of written documentation (paper or electronic copy). The documentation must include:
Type of test (indicating it is a PCR/NAAT or antigen test)
Entity issuing the result (e.g. laboratory, healthcare provider, or telehealth service)
Specimen collection date. A negative test result must show the specimen was collected within 72 hours
Information that identifies the person (full name plus at least one other identifier such as date of birth) and matches ID shown
Negative test result
Identification
For identification verification, your government-issued ID must match the name on your vaccination proof and/or the test results documentation. Those younger than 18 may use a government-issued ID, birth certificate, social security card, school ID, or locally issued ID.
Mask Requirements and Guidelines
Everyone participating in CommandFest Philadelphia – including all attendees, vendors, special guests, and event staff — will be required to wear a mask in all indoor spaces unless actively eating or drinking in designated areas.
Masks must cover the nose and mouth and fit snugly against the sides without gaps. They can either be manufactured or homemade and should consist of a solid piece of material without slits, exhalation valves, or punctures.
Neck gaiters and bandanas are not acceptable.
Face shields and/or goggles are not acceptable on their own but can be worn with a face covering that follows the above guidelines.
Face coverings or costume/cosplay masks as part of cosplay or a costume are not a replacement for an appropriate mask — the above guidelines must still be met.
All policies are subject to change, implementation, and interpretation at the full discretion of Card Titan and Card Titan management.
